AS ENGLISH soccer fans toured Robben Island yesterday before England face Algeria in Cape Town Stadium today, the England team arrived at the Vineyard Hotel in Newlands to little fanfare.
A small crowd gathered to watch the squad disembark from the team bus, but the stars were quickly whisked away from the prying eyes of the media and waiting fans.
The English fan contingent is expected to be far bigger than any other nation to visit Cape Town, with over 30 000 fans expected in the city for the match.
Mark Ablitt, who waited outside the hotel to greet his heroes, said the city had nothing to fear …
