Nov. 8--Members of the Catalina Foothills girls golf team huddled around a table as final scores for the Class 4A state tournament were posted Tuesday afternoon inside a Randolph Golf Complex conference room.

The players watched in silence as their individual scores were written in green marker. When their team total was tallied and "state champions" was written in big, red letters, Foothills senior Jesse Bluestein shrieked, "We won, we won!" Players jumped up from their seats and grinned widely.
