Tas: Woman pilot killed in light plane crash

HOBART, Feb 20 AAP - Investigators will today make their way to the scene of a light
aircraft crash in Tasmania's midlands which killed a female pilot.

The 21-year-old from Hobart was found dead in the wreckage of her twin engined Aerocommander
after it crashed in a rural area about 70km north of Hobart last night.

Australian Search and Rescue spokesman Ben Mitchell said a search began after the aircraft
was reported two and a half hours overdue.
