VIC: Trust to bring private sponsorship to schools

MELBOURNE, Feb 4 AAP - The Victorian government has set up a trust to involve business and
industry more closely in Victoria's public schools system, encouraging sponsorships and
donations from the private sector.

The Education Trust Victoria was a non-profit company and had a small board of members who
were leaders in their various fields, Victorian Education Minister Phil Gude announced today.

It would be committed to the involvement of the wider community in the education of young
people in Victoria, he said.
