NORTH HOOSICK MAN FACES SEX CHARGE.(Local)

A North Hoosick man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of first-degree attempted sexual abuse and first-degree sodomy stemming from a March 4 incident in Hoosick Falls.

Phillip O. Wideawake, 22, of State Route 67, North Hoosick, entered the plea before Judge M. Andrew Dwyer Jr. in Rensselaer County Court. He is to be sentenced Nov. 10. The charges stemmed from an attack on a Hoosick Falls woman.

In other cases:

*A man who gave his address as the Berkshire Farms Detention Center was sentenced Tuesday on a third- degree attempted burglary charge.
